How to make Satay Recipe?
Here's a
recipe for Satay:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless
chicken thighs, cut into strips
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- Wooden sticks,absorbed water for
no less than 30 minutes
- Peanut sauce, for serving
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together
soy sauce, vegetable oil, brown sugar, lime juice, fish sauce, curry
powder, turmeric powder, garlic powder, and ground ginger.
- Add chicken strips to the
marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or
up to 8 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high
heat.
- Thread chicken strips onto
wooden skewers.
- Grill skewers for 5-7 minutes
per side, or until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve with peanut sauce for
dipping. Enjoy!
Note: Satay
can also be made with beef, pork, or shrimp. Adjust the cooking time
accordingly.
