How to make Palak Paneer?
Here's a recipe for palak paneer, a delicious Indian dish made with spinach and cheese:
Ingredients:
- 2 bunches fresh spinach leaves,
washed and chopped
- 1 cup paneer (Indian cheese),
cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:
1.
Heat
oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add
onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden
brown.

Add
coriander powder, turmeric powder,red stew powder, and salt. Mix well and cook
for 1-2 minutes.
4.
Add
tomato puree and cook for 2-3 minutes until the oil separates.
5.
Add
chopped spinach leaves and mix well. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until the spinach
is wilted and tender.
6.
Let
the spinach mixture cool down. Once cooled, puree the mixture in a blender or
food processor until smooth.
7.
Pour
the pureed spinach mixture back into the pan and add cubed paneer. Mix well.
8.
Add
heavy cream and stir until well combined. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the paneer
is warmed through.
9.
Garnish
with a drizzle of cream or a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.
Your palak
paneer is currently fit to be served! It goes well with steamed rice or naan bread.
