 Here's a recipe for Keema Kachoori!



Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 pound ground beef (Qeema)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions:

  1. In a blending bowl, consolidate flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
  2. Add 3 tablespoons of oil and mix it into the flour mixture until crumbly.
  3. Add warm water gradually, kneading the dough until it forms a smooth and pliable ball.
  4. Cover the batter and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. In a dish, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium intensity.
  6. Add hacked onions and cook until delicate and clear.
  7. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and ground beef. Cook until the meat is browned, stirring frequently.
  8. Add red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to taste. Blend well and cook for couple of additional minutes. Set aside to cool.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  10. Take the rested dough and divide it into 12 equal portions.
  11. Carry out each part into a slight circle.
  12. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the cooked ground beef filling in the center of each circle.
  13. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape, and press the edges to seal.
  14. Place the kachoori on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  15. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or yogurt dip.
