Here's a recipe for Keema Kachoori!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 pound ground beef (Qeema)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
- In a blending bowl, consolidate
flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
- Add 3 tablespoons of oil and mix
it into the flour mixture until crumbly.
- Add warm water gradually, kneading
the dough until it forms a smooth and pliable ball.
- Cover the batter and let it rest
for 30 minutes.
- In a dish, heat 2 tablespoons of
oil over medium intensity.
- Add hacked onions and cook until
delicate and clear.
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste,
and ground beef. Cook until the meat is browned, stirring frequently.
- Add red chili powder, cumin
powder, coriander powder, and salt to taste. Blend well and cook for
couple of additional minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
(180°C).
- Take the rested dough and divide
it into 12 equal portions.
- Carry out each part into a
slight circle.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of the
cooked ground beef filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling
to form a half-moon shape, and press the edges to seal.
- Place the kachoori on a baking
sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until
golden brown.
- Serve hot with your favorite
chutney or yogurt dip.
