Italian Gelato recipe | Classic Vanilla Gelato Recipe

Here's a recipe for a classic vanilla gelato:


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a medium pan,heat the milk and weightly cream over medium intensity until it simply starts to stew. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until light and frothy.
  3. Gradually empty the hot milk combination into the egg blend,whisking continually to keep the eggs from cooking.
  4. Empty the combination back into the pan and spot over low intensity.Cook  blending continually,until the combination thickens and covers the rear of a spoon.
  5. Eliminate from intensity and mix in the vanilla concentrate.
  6. Strain the combination through a fine-network sifter into a spotless bowl.Cover and chill in the fridge for something like 2 hours,or short term.
  7. Agitate the chilled blendin a frozen yogurt creator as per the maker’s guidelines.
  8. Transfer the gelato to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
