 How to make Falooda at home?

Falooda is a popular Indian dessert drink that is both refreshing and delicious. Here is a recipe to make falooda at home:


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of rose syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of basil seeds (also known as sabja seeds)
  • 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup of vermicelli noodles (also known as falooda sev)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fruits (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Soak the basil seeds in water for 15-20 minutes until they swell up.
  2. Cook the vermicelli noodles in boiling water for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with cold water and set aside.
  3. In a separate saucepan, heat the milk and sugar together until the sugar dissolves. Let the milk cool down and then refrigerate.
  4. Once the milk has cooled, add the rose syrup and stir well.
  5. To assemble the falooda, take a tall glass and add 1 tablespoon of the soaked basil seeds to the bottom.
  6. Add a few spoonfuls of the vermicelli noodles on top of the basil seeds.
  7. Pour the rose-flavored milk over the noodles.
  8. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the milk.
  9. Repeat the layers of basil seeds, vermicelli noodles, and rose-flavored milk.
  10. Add the chopped fruits and nuts on top of the final layer of milk.
  11. Serve immediately with a long spoon and a straw.
