is a popular Indian street food that consists of crispy fried potato patties
filled with a spicy mixture of peas, onions, and spices. Here's a recipe to
make aloo tikki:
Ingredients:
- 4-5 medium-sized potatoes,
boiled and mashed
- 1/2 cup green peas, boiled and
mashed
- 1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp oil
- Oil for frying
Instructions:

potatoes, green peas, onions, green chillies, ginger paste, garlic paste,
cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder,
and salt. Mix well.
- Add cornflour to the mixture and
mix well. This will help to bind the mixture and make it easier to form
patties.
- Take a small portion of the
mixture and shape it into a small round patty.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium
heat. Once the oil is hot, gently slide the patties into the oil and fry
until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the patties from the oil
and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with mint chutney or with ketchup.
