Ingredients:

  • 4-5 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup green peas, boiled and mashed
  • 1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes, green peas, onions, green chillies, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add cornflour to the mixture and mix well. This will help to bind the mixture and make it easier to form patties.
  3. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a small round patty.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently slide the patties into the oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the patties from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney or with ketchup.
