Here's a recipe for a Zinger Burger:

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 4 sesame seed buns
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • oil for frying

Instructions:

1.   Cut the chicken breasts into four pieces each, so you end up with eight pieces of chicken.

2.   In a bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

3.   In another bowl, whisk the egg and buttermilk.

4.   Dip the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then the buttermilk mixture, and back in the flour mixture.

5.   Heat the oil in a frying pan or deep fryer to 350°F.

6.   Fry the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.

7.   While the chicken is cooking, toast the sesame seed buns and spread mayonnaise on the top and bottom of each bun.

8.   Place a lettuce leaf and a cut of tomato on the base portion of every bun.

9.   Once the chicken is cooked, place it on top of the tomato.

10.                 If desired, add a slice of cheese on top of the chicken.

11.                 Place the top half of the bun on top of the cheese (or chicken, if no cheese is used).

12.                 Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Zinger Burger!
