Chicken Broast
Here's a
recipe for chicken broast:
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken, cut into 8-10
pieces
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions:
1.
In
a huge,whisk together the buttermilk,garlic powder,onion powder,paprika,cayenne
pepper,thyme,oregano,black pepper and salt. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl
and toss to coat them thoroughly in the marinade. Cover with cliong wrap and
refrigerate for somewhere around 4 hours,or short term.

In
a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt,
and black pepper.

Heat
the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot over medium heat, until it
reaches a temperature of 350°F (180°C).

Take
the chicken pieces out of the buttermilk marinade and let any excess marinade
drip off.

Dip
each chicken piece in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess, and then dip
it back into the buttermilk marinade, making sure it is fully coated.
6.
Dip
the chicken pieces in the flour mixture again, shaking off any excess.
7.
Carefully
place the chicken pieces into the hot oil and fry for 12-15 minutes, or until
the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy.
8.
Remove
the chicken from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined
plate.
9.
Serve
hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
